The history of DSUK dates back to 1943 when it was a small design studio in London specialising in high quality handmade leather goods and accessories

The brand has worked behind the scenes supporting new designers and funding their brands since its relocation in 1999 to London’s Covent Garden. LYDC is one of the brands launched by DSUK during the close relationship between young designers and the brand. Over the past 10 years it has experienced the fast growth of the youth market as well as the difficulties in targeting the more mature and sophisticated market.

Based on this, DSUK decided to turn itself from a managerial ‘School Headmistress’ to a new fashion brand that aims to provide high quality handbags for ladies aged 28-55 by integrating its design and production resources. With the brand re-launching throughout August 2012, the new collection is being introduced at fashion exhibitions in the UK and Europe.

The 2012 collection combines the practicality of the everyday city bag with vintage ideology. Functional compartments have been adopted in the 2012 style of DSUK, which not only provide structure to the shape but also inject vintage fortitude into the traditional feminine design. Elegant simplicity can be found in every DSUK style as decorations are carefully chosen for each bag for conciseness. The brand creates timeless handbags that demonstrate the beauty of classic styling.
